About the festival

EUNIC Literature Days 2025 (“About Us”) is a five-day, multi-venue festival in Vienna (14–18 October) organised by EUNIC Austria. Each event brings together two or more authors and artists across countries and genres, and treats “literature” broadly—poetry, short fiction and novels alongside music, film, a poetry slam, a children’s workshop, and a translators’ talk—promoting intercultural exchange and conversation across languages.

On 16 October at COCO Bar, “Poetry Slam goes Europe” featured performers from Greece, Malta, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, with texts delivered in the original languages and projected in English; moderation by Fanny Famos and presentation by the Greek Embassy, Embassy of Malta in Austria, Slovak Institute in Vienna and Czech Centre Vienna.
